A blushing cupid
New Year, new studio visit! I had the pleasure of visiting my friend and talented artist, Nir Hod at his new West Village studio. To say his art was a feast for the eyes would be an understatement. Naturally drawn to all things that sparkle and shimmer, if I could have snuck out with the oversized gold canvas, I would not have thought twice..
Photos cannot possibly do the art justice- the metallic canvas has beautiful color pigmentation that seeps through from the first coat of ombre paint. If you stare from different angles you can see a variety of colors, the art actually changes as you dim the lights.
I had to touch the eye canvases to make sure they weren’t actually photos, “do you see all of the emotions here?” Nir asked me, and I certainly did….
